The Remy human hair is the highest quality of real human hair, which is commonly used for hair extensions and wig making.

Remy hair is considered the finest quality of human hair because during processing, the hair is kept in the same direction as its growth, ensuring that the outer layer, known as the cuticle, remains intact and does not peel off like most other non-Remy hair.

Preserving the texture of the hair strands and aligning them in one direction results in a completely natural-looking hair extension. This process also ensures that the hair remains super soft, shiny, silky, and relatively tangle-free throughout its lifespan.

Where does Remy hair for extensions come from?

The majority of Remy human hair comes from China or India, from various sources such as:

  1. Hair is purchased from non-working women who are homemakers or older women taking care of children/grandchildren. Selling hair provides them with additional income without requiring labor.
  2. Temples, where hair is one form of donation from monasteries/religious institutions and a source of revenue for their expenses and projects.
  3. Hair salons that sell hair instead of discarding it.

All hair is disinfected before processing or dyeing it in factories.

What is the difference between synthetic and human hair extensions?

Hair extensions and wigs made from human hair can be dyed (depending on quality, some can only go darker), styled with hot styling tools (curling or straightening), washed frequently, and treated just like your own natural hair.

On the other hand, most hair extensions made from synthetic hair are sensitive to sunlight, difficult to style, and do not have the same appearance and texture as natural hair. There are different quality levels among synthetic hair extensions as well. The best available is made from high-heat-resistant synthetic material. This type of synthetic hair can be straightened with a flat iron up to 180°C and is washable. However, curling and dyeing are strictly prohibited unless you want to throw it away immediately afterward.

Despite these considerations, the lifespan of synthetic hair is significantly shorter than that of human hair. Human hair extensions can last up to a year with proper care, while synthetic hair extensions typically last an average of 3 months. Synthetic hair extensions cost between 35- 50 EUR , while 100% human hair extensions range from 100 EUR to as much as 550 EUR, depending on the quality, color, weight, length, and processing technique.
